Biography
Dr. Marc Ribó is an interventional neurologist in the Stroke Unit at Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron in Barcelona and a member of the Neurovascular Diseases group at the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR). His work centers on acute ischemic stroke: endovascular treatment, patient selection, and the use of artificial intelligence to shorten time to diagnosis. He has led clinical trials of neuroprotective and reperfusion therapies, and his group was among the first to bring AI-based large vessel occlusion detection on non-contrast CT into routine practice. Dr. Ribó is a co-principal investigator of the DONE SYMPLE trial alongside Dr. Ortega-Gutiérrez and Dr. Jovin.
