Biography

Dr. Eric Kontowicz, PhD, MPH, is an infectious disease epidemiologist specializing in statistical modeling, spatial analysis, and risk assessment. He is Scientific Lead at University of Iowa Health Care, where he leads multi-national studies on neurological and infectious diseases. His prior work includes vaccine effectiveness research in emergency medicine and zoonotic disease modeling at Purdue University. Dr. Kontowicz has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and regularly presents at scientific conferences. He also teaches epidemiology and mentors students across academic levels. His work advances data-driven solutions to public health threats through interdisciplinary collaboration.
