Biography

Carlos Alberto Contreras Mesa is a versatile leader and researcher dedicated to optimizing complex systems across clinical, industrial, and academic sectors. He currently serves as the Lab Manager of the Cerebrovascular Lab, where he directs the execution and management of clinical trials. He applies rigorous project management methodologies to ensure the integrity and efficiency of cerebrovascular research.

Beyond the clinical setting, Carlos is a key figure in the development of technological solutions for infrastructure tracking and complex project management. He is partof the developer team of "Jarín-Jarín", an analytical system designed to process imagery captured by satellites and drones. This tool enables rigorous project progress monitoring through visual telemetry, facilitating precise, geospatial data-driven decision-making

His academic foundation is global and interdisciplinary:

  • Master’s in International Transportation and Logistics from Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (UDIMA).

  • Specialist in Project Management from Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios.

  • International Businessman degree from EAFIT University.

Carlos is also a recognized educator and strategist in the field of Artificial Intelligence. He leads the specialized course 'Revolutionizing Workflows with AI' , teaching advanced techniques such as Chain of Thoughts for critical thinking and dynamic content generation.

His prior experience includes serving as the Project Formulation Manager for the Barrancabermeja City Hall (2022-2023) , where he optimized governmental efficiency through strategic team management. He also contributed as a Consultant in Research, Development, and Innovation at UNIPAZ , advising on the management of resources and budgets for high-impact regional projects.
